Mothers' Day
Mar. 31st, 2014 01:44 pmI woke up really early and everyone else was asleep so I took my computer through to the kitchen and made tea.
Kids woke up around 8.30 and complained that my being out of bed spoiled their plans to bring me breakfast in bed.
I said I was more than happy to go back to bed and appreciate them bringing stuff through for me.
Then it turned out that they'd forgotten what I'd asked for for breakfast and had planned something else.
Then it turned out that they hadn't gone to the shops for either the thing I asked for or the thing they thought I'd like.
So then they had a loud argument about whose fault that was.
... I now have flowers, tasty speciality yoghurt and some fruit.
Child reports that the lady in the flower shop had an expression which very clearly read "So, somebody ruined Mothers' Day, did they?"
I guess it must happen quite a lot then. :-)
